Currently, he is holding the position of Honorary Senior Consultant at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. He is also the Chairman of the Dept. of Nephrology and the Secretary on the Board of Management of SRGH. He perused his elementary medical education from Medical College Shimla. Later on, he completed his special training at PGI, Chandigarh. Dr. Rana’s academic qualification includes MBBS, MD and MNAMS degrees. He holds an International Scholarship of Cleveland Clinic (Ohio, USA). His interest and achievements in Nephrology have earned him various recognitions including prestigious ‘Padma Shri’ award from the President of India. He was the first cardiologist in India to administer Intracoronary and Intravenous Streptokinase in Acute Myocardial Infarction. His special interest includes Complex Coronary Angioplasty and Stenting (bifurcation, CTO, and left main disease), Percutaneous Balloon Valvotomy, Biventricular Pacing in severe Heart Failure, ICD Implantation and EP study. Dr. Deepak was awarded fellowships with some of the leading interventional cardiologist in the world such as Prof Masakiyo Nobuyoshi of Japan, Prof Gary Roubin of USA, Prof Robert Greenbaum of the UK (special interest EPS). Dr. Amitabh Varma is the first ever Neurology doctor to be designated as Honorary Physician to the President of India. Since 1983, he is practicing and is one of most senior Neurologist of Delhi. He completed MBBS from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal in 1972 and DM – Neurology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 1979. Prior to it, he was teaching Doctors at AIIMS, New Delhi. Dr. Amitabh Varma is the Fellow of American Academy of Neurology. He is a doctor of repute and well-known for Regenerative Therapy in Neurology. He has been connected with various International Organization of Neurology in various capacities and was also founder Organizing Secretary of the Indian Academy of Neurology Congress in 1994 in New Delhi.
